Non-hostile Ghosts

Non-hostile ghosts are ghosts that do not attack the player. Some are ghosts who died before the failure of the game's rituals and therefore remain free of Malice, and others are splintered aspects of a ghost who usually attacks. In Fatal Frame IV, some non-hostile spirits represent the memories of the protagonists.

Many Hostile Ghosts have non-hostile appearances as Vanishing ghosts. Stationary Ghosts are also considered non-hostile, but play no role in advancing the plot. Some non-hostile ghosts are Helpful Ghosts.
