Once Ruka defeats Sakuya, she makes her way over to the organ and plays the Moonsong to pacify Sakuya.
Sakuya is heard shrieking in the background, and Ruka stands up with the Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and makes her way over to Sakuya to contain the forces she unleashed.
On her way over the forces overpower her and she falls, and the mask slides across the ground. Ruka struggles to reach the mask, but before she can get to it a hand appears on screen and picks up the mask. Ruka looks up in surprise.
The man makes his way over to Sakuya with ease and places the mask on her face, containing all the forces that were unleashed, and catches her when she collapses.
The man turns around, and it is revealed that he is Choshiro Kirishima. He turns and smiles at Ruka.
The eclipse is shown over the shrine, and the camera pans down to the sea to reveal a large black hole forming in the water. A few seconds later, the camera shows the whole lighthouse with the eclipse in the sky beginning to draw to an end, and orbs representing all of the islanders' spirits floating towards it. During this, "NOISE" starts playing.
The camera cuts back to show Sakuya floating above the ground, channelling all of the spirits and directing them through the sky and down to the hole in the sea, so they can cross over to the Other Side.
Choshiro too dissolves into an orb of light, and so does Sakuya. The mask falls to the ground, and another hand is shown picking it up.
The camera shows Soya standing with his back to Ruka. As he starts to turn towards her, she again remembers him turning from his mask-making, but this time, she remembers him smiling, as she remembers his face at last.
Coming back to the present, Ruka's father follows the other spirits into the sea, taking the mask with him. Ruka runs to the railing and calls out for her father, asking him to wait.
The camera cuts back and shows the last few spirits crossing over; the brightest orb, which goes in last, represents her father. Ruka is shown calling out for her father again. The screen then goes black, before showing an underwater scene of what appears to be Sakuya sinking to the bottom of the ocean. The credits roll, and as the camera pans out, the bodies of all the islanders are shown sinking slowly to the bottom.
Later, Ruka is seen in the same room where she was at the beginning, playing the true Tsukimori Song. As the music draws to a close, the scene changes, showing a clearing in a forest, where a calm pool reflects the moon.
