Temple of the Lunar Eclipse Kanji 月蝕堂 (つきはみどう) Game Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Located at Rogetsu Isle Function Stage for Rogetsu Kagura Status Abandoned

The Lunar Eclipse Hall was a large wooden building on Rogetsu Isle, where the Rogetsu Kagura was performed. It was situated between the Yomotsuki Residence and the Rogetsu Tunnels, and connected directly to both, allowing people to travel between the island's most important ritual sites. Beneath it was the Lunar Underworld Hall, where the Kiraigou was performed.

The exterior of the building is never shown in game, and the main doors leading outside are sealed.

Important Areas

• Antechamber - an altar-room where the Utsuwa and Kanade would meditate to prepare for the Kagura.
• Lunar Eclipse Dais - the circular stage where the Kagura was performed.
• Rogetsu Dais - the area where the audience would stand to watch.
• Luminary Sanctum - an area important in the art of mask-making, where facial skin could be purified.

Notable Events

• Yo Haibara kidnapped five girls to perform as Kanade in the secret Kiraigou from the Rogetsu Dais.
• Tsubaki Tono and the five Kanade in the Rogetsu Kagura of that year died in the middle of their performance.
