Iori Aiba is a ghost in Fatal Frame IV. She was a mainlander who visited Rogetsu Isle with her elder brother, Takashi Aiba, who was studying the local mask folklore. While she was there, Iori contracted a mild case of Moonlight Syndrome and became a patient at Haibara Infirmary.
She and Takashi attended the tourist kagura, but when the Rite of Descent failed, Iori's symptoms became much worse, and Takashi developed Getsuyuu Syndrome as well. Iori was moved from Haibara Infirmary to Rogetsu Hall, but soon afterwards she broke the doorknob of her room and refused to come out. During the game, this door only ever opens from the inside; in a cutscene in Chapter 2, Iori's ghost emerges from the room when music therapy is broadcast through the ward.
During Chapter 8, Iori appears standing inside a curtained-off bed in the second floor ward of Haibara Infirmary. She then attacks Misaki along with her brother.
Like Takashi, Iori wears bandages around her head, suggesting that she also attempted to blind herself.
Misc. Info
- Iori's room is #204 - 陰月 (Ingetsu; "shadow moon").
- Like Natsuki Shiono, Iori's primary attack involves her ducking when she is in close range and then lunging at the player.
- Iori's hidden ghost can be found by photographing the door to her room. It shows Iori standing in a room with red walls.
