"If no one remembers something, does that mean it never happened?"
Ruka Minazuki, another one of the girls who disappeared ten years previously, comes to Rogetsu Isle after Misaki and Madoka.
Ruka grew up on the island, but after the incident she and her mother left. Ruka has her own reasons for coming here...
Ruka wants to piece together her lost memories. Why doesn't she remember where she was born, or what her father looked like? What was done to her and the other girls? What happened on the island the day they were taken?
While exploring Rogetsu Hall in search of the key to her memories, Ruka encounters the ghost of Madoka in the room next to the Asou Museum.
She then looks in the mirror and is greeted with a vision of her own face, warped and distorted...
A girl in a yellow dress plays a piano in a dark room. She speaks about how she has no memories of her childhood, or what happened to her on Rogetsu Isle. She plays more intensely and thinks about Misaki and Madoka, who have left for the island, and Marie Shinomiya and Tomoe Nanamura, who have died. She wonders if people forget things that happened, if they really ever happened at all. The scene cuts to a boat, where the same girl in yellow, Ruka Minazuki, is sailing towards Rogetsu Isle.
Ruka enters Rogetsu Hall. She begins to have flashes of memories as she walks through the area. At the top of the stairs, she finds an odd note left behind by Madoka. After climbing partway down the stairs again, she sees Madoka heading towards the museum. She follows her, and finds various clippings and documents in the museum room about spiritual power and a camera with spirit powers. Ruka then finds and receives the Camera Obscura. Madoka peeks at her from behind another door in the museum, but it's quickly shut. By taking a picture of the door, Ruka sees another place in Rogetsu Hall appear on the film: five masks in frames, hanging on a wall together.
Ruka leaves the room, and as she does so, she is attacked by the same ghost who told Madoka to return to her room. Ruka fights her, and she dissipates. Ruka continues on to the dining hall area, and finds a ghost of a nurse staring down at a key on the table. She picks it up, and proceeds to examine the room. On the furthest wall, there are four masks hanging in frames, and one empty frame. Upon closer inspection, a little boy in a mask appears behind Ruka. He then runs through the door beside her, and she follows.
The boy leads her to the entrance hall again, where Ruka solves a puzzle to open the gates at the top of the stairs. She follows the ghost of the young boy through the upstairs halls. In the boy's room, Ruka finds his first diary, in which he mentions he has hidden his mask under his bed. As she reaches for it, he appears sitting behind her and begins to attack. Ruka successfully fights him off and replaces the mask with the other four in the dining hall, unlocking the door in the museum.
Behind this door, Ruka finds a room full of books, display cases, and a mirror. She finds Madoka with her back turned to her in a corner. As she reaches out to her, Madoka whispers, "Ruka..?" When she turns around, her face has become blurred, and she attacks. Ruka defeats her and Madoka disappears. Ruka happens to see herself in the mirror, and for a second, she sees the reflection of her face blur like Madoka's.
