I've finally been able to talk with the Rogetsu Hall sanatorium patients.
Access is supposed to be restricted, but I was able to worm my way in...
A good word from Sayaka works wonders...
Sadly, talking to Moonlight Syndrome sufferers isn't really all that illuminating.
Their amnesia makes it difficult to get a coherent statement out of these people.
First they say they saw it all happen, then they say they didn't see anything...
At this rate, my investigation will be as dead as that maiden.
I've finally got a concrete statement. One of the kids says he saw some girls in a room on the third floor. The resident is a patient by the name of Magaki.
I'm going there now to find out.
Rogetsu Hall, room 309.
There's nothing here but a painting.
This must be what the boy saw. Another dead-end lead...
(Tape breaks up here)
Rogetsu Hall, fourth floor.
This is it. I've been around the whole building.
The room at the end of this corridor is the only place left to check.
The patient is a woman called Sakuya.
Seems she's Yo Haibara's older sister.
Hers is said to be a particularly severe case of Moonlight Syndrome so there probably wouldn't be any point in asking her about her brother's whereabouts.
That is, if she were conscious. She's in a coma, so this is academic anyway.

But this room...
It's like a prison cell...
Anyway, that's my search finished. No sign of Haibara or the girls.

ようやく朧月館の患者に聞き込みができた
関係者以外は入るのが難しいが
小夜歌さんの口添えもあって
なんとか潜り込めた
月幽病というのは 記憶を失くす病気らしく
言っている事は 殆ど要領を得ない
見たといった次の瞬間には見ていないという
これじゃ 聞き込みならない
入院している少年から ３階のマガキという男の部屋で
少女を見たという証言を得た
これからその部屋へ向かう
朧月館 ３０９号室
発見できず
どうも この絵の事らしい
朧月館 ４階
ここで最後だ
奥の部屋を調べれば この建物を全て調べたことになる
この部屋の住人は朔夜という女性
灰原の姉にあたる
重度の月幽病らしく
灰原について聞いても恐らく無駄だろう
しかも 今は昏睡状態ということだ
しかし・・・ここは・・・
まるで牢獄だ・・・
捜索終了 灰原も少女達もここにはいない
