One of the rooms within Rogetsu Hall occupied by patients with Getsuyuu Syndrome. Room #412 was Sakuya Haibara's room. It is much larger than the other patients' rooms in Rogetsu Hall, and was designed specially for Sakuya,[1] when her illness became severe enough that she had to be isolated to protect other patients. The room even has a small glass area like a greenhouse or conservatory, where there are a few potted plants. Even though the room was designed to be luxurious, it had the atmosphere of a prison.[2] [3]
Like Ayako, Sakuya collected many dolls and displayed them in her room, though hers are intact. The dolls on the right-hand dresser are all arranged around an empty chair; the wooden dolls on the left-hand dresser are dressed in ceremonial clothes, and behind them is a photograph of the torii gate in the backyard of Haibara Infirmary under the full moon.
Notable Events
- Misaki Asou would visit Sakuya in this room, and it was here that Sakuya gave Misaki a doll.
- The nurse assigned to the fourth floor before Shie Sonosaki killed herself in front of Sakuya.
- Misaki witnessed Sakuya being led away after her condition worsened.
