Shie Sonosaki
Template:FF4MajorGhostA nurse from Rougetsu Island. Shie was in charge of looking after the only patient on the fourth floor isolation ward of Rougetsu Hall, assigned to her after the previous nurse committed suicide. This patient, Sakuya Haibara, frightened Shie so badly that after only a short period of time she put in a special request to be moved to another ward, citing that she was unsure she was ready for such work. This request seems to have been denied, however, since she continued her work on the fourth floor. During this time she wrote both of her fear and embarrassment at not being able to recall Sakuya's face, even immediately after visiting her, also wondering whether the room was so thoroughly sealed in order to keep the patient in, or to keep others out and away from the patient.
After the Kagura of 1970 and Tsubaki Tono's death, she was given a desk in the Power Distribution Room, presumably so she could continue watching over her designated patient. She also took over Tsubaki's responsibilities concerning the third floor patients. Shie realized that something was seriously wrong with Sakuya, since she should not possibly be alive, yet the medical data stated otherwise. This frightened her even more, with Shie even saying that she realized that once Sakuya awoke and opened the door, she would destroy everything in her path.
Shie appears in Room 310 with Shoji Katagiri, attacking after a cutscene of the two entering the room. She can also be seen in various places around the sanatorium and hospital, including the Power Distribution Room, the fourth floor corridor and behind the reception desk in the hospital's Entrance Hall.

- Shie is the nurse with the long hair, while her fellow nurse Fuyuko Shiratsuki has shorter hair.
- She appears in Haunted House Mode in Fatal Frame: Deep Crimson Butterfly.
