"Slew of Bones found in Well"
As part of a survey on folk customs, a team of researchers were visiting an abandoned village when they discovered beneath an old, dry well with a sacred shrine rope.
As the well had already run dry, they descended to the bottom and there found a slew of human bones.
According to a source from that team, many of those bones where children's. Given the evidence that all the bones were boys', as well as the type of vessel used, it seems they discovered ceremonial items. It is thought the boys were thrown in to reduce the mouths to feed in famine, or for rain making, or perhaps some other custom.
