"Land Surveyors Go Missing"
While conducting a geological survey for the planned Minakami dam site, Masumi Makimura (26) entered the Minakami mountains and then disappeared.
Makimura's fiancée Miyako Sudo (25) went looking for him and disappeared similarly. As of yesterday the search for them was called off and construction of the Minakami dam resumed.
The Minakami mountain area has historically had many cases of missing persons. As myths of Spirited Aways are popular in the area, this incident is also rumored to be one such Spirited Away.
The police continue to call for provision of any information related to the disappearance of the two. After consultation with the relatives on both sides, they announced that they would be terminating the search.

「地質調査員行方不明」
水神ダム建設予定地の史跡調査のため、
水上山中に入り行方不明となった槙村真澄
さん（２６）と、槙村さんを捜索に出て同
じく行方不明となった槙村さんの婚約者、
須藤美也子さん（２５）の捜索が、昨日を
持って打ち切られ、水神ダムの建設が再開
されることになった。
水上山中では過去にも多数の行方不明者が
出ており、地元には「神隠し」などの伝承
が数多く残されていることから、今回の事
件も「神隠し」ではないかと噂されている
という。
警察では引き続き二人に関する情報提供を
呼びかけており、二人の親族と協議の上、
今後の対応を発表することにしている。
