Yuko Magaki is a ghost in Fatal Frame IV. In life, he was an artist and patient at Rogetsu Hall. His room is filled with his paintings, and there is also a Gallery dedicated to displaying his work.
Fatal Frame IV
Like the other patients resident at Rogetsu Hall, Yuko was suffering from the effects of Moonlight Syndrome. Before his admission, he had apparently made many large financial contributions to the hospital,[1] but he had no visitors and spent most of his time painting in his room.[2] As part of his therapy, he was allowed to display his works in a special Gallery, the only place where he felt at peace.[3]

After the Rogetsu Kagura, Magaki's behaviour began to change, as did his paintings. He became more violent and erratic, with increasingly frequent loud outbursts. He believed he was receiving prophetic visions, and painted what he saw,[4] in particular a faceless woman.[5] His masterpiece, painted directly onto the floor of his room, shows the woman surrounded by people in attitudes of terror or worship, and seems to be an image of the Day of Tranquility.
While Magaki's fate is not directly mentioned in the game, it can be assumed he died on the Day of Tranquility along with all the other islanders. In death, he mostly lingers around his room and the Gallery, though he also appears as a vanishing ghost in the elevator and outside the dining room. As a hostile spirit, he attacks by crawling on the floor and grabbing the player character's ankles. He will also throw handfuls of paint, which temporarily cover the viewfinder.
