Akane has become a Remaining.
To comfort her, I'll make a doll that looks like Azami. She has been emotionless since the day of the ritual.
I'll make the doll look exactly like Azami, so that when they are together, no one will be able to tell them apart..
Akane never leaves Azami's side for even a second, always whispering things to her.
I don't know what she says, but at least she seems to be slowly returning to her former self.
If we didn't have this ritual, Azami wouldn't have become a butterfly, and Akane wouldn't have lost her spirit.
鬼隻となりし姉の茜（あかね）を慰めんが
ため、薊（あざみ）の形身となる人形を作る。
儀式の日より心を病み、感情を失った茜は、
人形と並ぶとどちらが人か、 どちらが人形
かわからないほどだ。
茜はかたときも薊より離れず、薊に話し
かける。 何を話しているかはわからぬが、
心も少しずつではあるが、 戻りつつある
のだろう。
儀式さえなければ･･･
薊も蝶となることもなく、 茜も心を失うことは
なかったのだが。
