The Umbral Mound is a new explorable location added in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake. It is a stone burial mound bound with ropes, surrounded by dense bamboo thickets. It may be the same area where Seijiro Makabe is shown testing the Camera Obscura in cutscenes.
