Rope Temple Kanji 縄の御堂 （なわ　の　みどう） Game Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Fatal Frame: Deep Crimson Butterfly Located at Minakami Village Function Site of the Cutting Ritual Status Flooded by Minakami Dam

The Rope Temple was a large room in Kurosawa House, of Minakami Village. The Cutting Ritual was performed here, to prepare the Kusabi for the Hidden Ceremony.

The chosen Kusabi, an outsider to the village, was tied up by ropes and slashed by the Veiled Priests until barely alive.

The Rope Temple also led to the Underground Passage, used to access the Hellish Abyss.

Rope Temple Kanji 縄の御堂 （なわ　の　みどう） Game Fatal Frame III: The Tormented Located at Manor of Sleep Function Site of the Cutting Ritual Status Sealed in a dream

In Fatal Frame III, the Rope Temple is one of the rooms that appears in Mio's dreams of the Manor of Sleep, and consequently in Kei's dreams as well. In the Manor, the spiral corridor leads to the Rope Temple from the basement door near the Cell, and the doors that led out to the Lattice Room in Fatal Frame II are sealed. During Hour VIII, Mio runs through the Rope Temple and out through the sealed doors. Afterwards, the Kusabi attacks Kei and forces him to leave the area.
