Osaka Family

In Fatal Frame II, the Osaka family was one of the five main families of Minakami Village, but there are no named members of the Osaka family in the game. According to supplemental material, the Osakas served as gatekeepers and guardians of the village. Their house overlooked the path from Misono Hill, and they were responsible for watching arrivals and departures, and obtaining permission from the Ceremony Master to allow Outsiders into the village.

The Zero Shisei no Koe Comic Anthology features a story about Tsuzuri and Musubi Osaka, a pair of twins from the Osaka family, inspired by the unnamed twins who appear in the Manor of Sleep in Fatal Frame III. They are shown to live with their parents and nurse, who have protected them from knowledge of the ritual.

The crest of the Osaka family is a flowering ginger design, which can be seen on the Ginger Key, as well as stamped on boxes in the house and the lantern hanging over the entrance.
