How do you obtain it?

This is the default costume for the game, which Mio and Mayu are wearing from the start.

Significance

This is a redesigned version of Mio and Mayu's signature costumes in Fatal Frame II. While the basic concept is much the same, the costume has been updated to reflect Mio and Mayu's more mature character design, and the clothes have been made more elaborate to make use of the Wii's superior graphics capabilities. More detail has been added to the back of the outfits, to make the characters' appearance more interesting in the Wii's over-the-shoulder view, and attention was given to the straps and moving cloth around the shoulders, since they would be at the center of the player's viewpoint for much of the game.

The costumes retained the butterfly-shaped red bow from the original game, and added a shiny butterfly pattern on Mio's leggings. The loose, fluttering design of Mayu's sleeves is also meant to suggest butterfly wings.
