Name: Default Costume (Japanese PS2 Version Only)
Character: Miku Hinasaki
Games: Fatal Frame & Fatal Frame III
Also called: Zero Costume
How do you obtain it?
Fatal Frame
This costume is the default costume for the Japanese PS2 version.
Miku is wearing this at the game start.
Fatal Frame III
Do either of the following:
- Complete the game on Hard Mode.
- Complete the game 3 times on Normal Mode.
Significance
This is Miku's signature costume. It's supposed to be similar to a schoolgirl type costume.
The colours of the costume use the contrast between light and dark patches to make Miku stand out in the shadowy game environment. The red detail is intended to recall her name (which means "deep crimson") and the shade of blood, associating her more strongly with the colour red.[1]
Misc Info
- The Miku Monster in Monster Rancher 4 wears this costume.
- This outfit is an unlockable in Super Swing Golf and Super Swing Golf 2
- When Fatal Frame was released to the US and Europe, the design of this costume was modified.
- This costume was not used in the Xbox Japanese version of Fatal Frame.
