Fireplace Room

Fireplace Room Kanji 囲炉裏の間　（いろりのま） Game Fatal Frame Located at Himuro Mansion Function Storage/location of fireplace Status Abandoned

One of the first searchable areas in Fatal Frame. It contains a large number of dusty antiques, as well as a few bookshelves and a large clock. This is also where the first ghost fight of Fatal Frame, and the entire series, takes place.

• Koji Ogata - walking through the hidden door by the stairs
• Koji Ogata - vanishing ghost walking into room from bookshelves
• Mafuyu Hinasaki - vanishing ghost walking up stairs
• White Kimono - appears in cutscene urging Miku to use the Camera

• Clock Boy - attacking ghost after descending the stairs

Strange Phenomena

• In 1st Night: The Strangling Ritual, Buddhist sutras can be heard being chanted from behind the door leading to the Tatami Room before obtaining the key to open the door for the first time.
• In 2nd Night: Demon Tag, a koto can be heard playing and a silhouette of a woman can be seen through the folding screen leading to the Koto Room. When close enough near the screen, the koto stops suddenly as the silhouette disappears.
