Fatal Frame

Ryozo Munakata (宗方良藏)
Ryozo Munakata was Yae's husband, and a folklorist.
Some time after the events of Fatal Frame II, he married Yae and they had a daughter, Mikoto. Several years later, when Mikoto was still a young girl, he and Yae moved into Himuro mansion, which he hoped to research the rituals of further. He wished to move there to be closer to his research so he wouldn't have to be far from Yae, who had fallen into poor health. His work progressed quickly, and he spent most of his days exploring the mansion, trying to gather information and figure out what happened there.
One day, Mikoto brought an antique camera to Ryozo and he examined it, asking where she had found it. Though she told him a girl in a white kimono had given it to her, he concluded that there was nothing special about it. The next day, Ryozo and his family took a walk in the mountains around the mansion. Yae took the camera Mikoto found and spent most of the day taking pictures with it.
9 days after the walk, Mikoto and her friends disappeared in the mansion. Though Ryozo and Yae searched all over for them, they could not be found. At some point Ryozo left Yae, and when he returned he found her lifeless body hanging from a tree in the Cherry Atrium.
Blaming the camera for his wife's death, he set out on a mission to obtain all the necessary items to allow him access to the Banned Path. After acquiring them all, he made his way to the Demon Mouth with a piece of the Holy Mirror he had somehow obtained. As the door to the Banned Path opened, he was pulled inside by Kirie and killed.

Yae Munakata - Formerly known as Yae Kurosawa (宗方八重)
After the events of Fatal Frame II, Yae married Ryozo and they had a daughter, Mikoto. After a few years the family moved into Himuro Mansion, so Ryozo could further his research without leaving Yae, who was now in bad health.
One day, Mikoto found an old camera, which she showed to her father. Yae's curiosity got the better of her, and she began taking pictures with it all over the mansion. She soon realized that it was no ordinary camera. Images of things that had not been there appeared on the photos, including images of ghosts. Yae, however, could not stop herself from using the camera, and eventually she began seeing the ghosts without the camera.
Soon, Mikoto and her friends disappeared during a game of Demon Tag around the mansion. Yae was horrified, knowing that ghosts had taken her daughter away, and she blamed herself. She wrote a suicide note to her husband, and then hung herself from a tree in the Cherry Atrium. Yae never learned that Mikoto was still alive, and her body was later found by Ryozo.

Mikoto Munakata(宗方 美琴)
The young daughter of Ryozo and Yae. After moving to the Himuro area, she quickly made many friends with children from the local village, and they would play together in the mansion. Then one day a girl in a white kimono gave Mikoto an old camera. She took it to her father, who quickly dismissed it. Her mother Yae took the camera, and began taking pictures of Mikoto and the other children playing, but what she captured on film frightened her. Along with Mikoto and her friends, the images the camera took showed frightening images that weren't there, including one picture of Mikoto with a young girl in a white kimono.
Then, on July 24th (year unknown), Mikoto and her friends vanished while playing a game of tag in the mansion. Mikoto reappears in the woods, lead away from the mansion by the mysterious little girl in the white kimono, saving her from the ghosts that would ultimately kill her friends. After learning of her parents' death, Mikoto is taken in by Mr. Hinasaki.
Many years later, Mikoto marries (her husband's name is unknown), and she has a daughter, whom she names Miyuki.
Fatal Frame II
The above characters (except Mikoto) are mentioned again in the second game, which takes place during Ryozo and Yae's childhood. One additional family member is mentioned as well.

Ryozo's Father
Ryozo's father is mentioned as a side note in Fatal Frame II. Ryozo mentions that he had visited Minakami Village when he was younger with his father. No other further information is known about him.
