Female Head is a ghost in Fatal Frame. Very little is known about her, except that she was at Himuro Mansion on the day of the Strangling Ritual in 1837. When the ritual failed and caused the Calamity, the Himuro Family Master went insane and began decapitating anyone he came across. Female Head was one of his victims.

After her death, Female Head's spirit returned to the mansion as a floating head without a body. She searched the mansion on an eternal quest to replace her missing body.

Encounter

It is possible to miss Female Head's vanishing ghost (#54, Female Head) and scripted encounter during Night 1, as she will only appear if the player has fought Tomoe Hirasaka in the Fish Tank Room and has not entered the Forest Path area past the Backyard. To be sure of capturing her, after obtaining the Lighter, proceed to the Fish Tank Room to fight Tomoe Hirasaka, and then return to the Abyss. Female Head will appear as a vanishing ghost rolling up the stairs upon your return to the Stairway, and then as a hostile ghost immediately afterwards.

Misc. Info

• Female Head is a random ghost during Night 1. After defeating her in the Attic she can no longer be randomly encountered.
