Long Arms was a member of the Himuro family who lived some time prior to Kirie's Strangling Ritual. How long before the Calamity he lived is never mentioned. His daughter was chosen as the Rope Shrine Maiden, meaning he would never see her again. His longing for his daughter was so strong that after his death, he remained in the mansion, spiriting away children.[1] According to Pachislot Zero, he would specifically target children playing Demon Tag, in an attempt to disrupt the selection process and prevent the ritual from going ahead.[2]
Many years after his death, Mikoto Munakata and her friends were playing a game of Demon Tag in the mansion. Her friends hid while she sought them out. Long Arms found each of her three friends before she did and dragged them away to their deaths.
