Mio and Mayu begin to make their way to the Kureha Shrine, where they can escape the village, but they are ambushed by a group of villagers who capture Mayu and take her away.

Mio follows her back to the Kurosawa House, this time encountering the Ceremony Master Ryokan Kurosawa in the Rope Temple. When defeated, he drops a key, allowing Mio to continue into the Underground Passage towards the forbidden place where Mayu is waiting for her. After a battle with the Kusabi, Mio descends to the Hellish Abyss.

Depending on your actions in Chapter 8 and the speed with which you defeat the Kusabi, you may have to fight Sae Kurosawa. Your actions will determine the ending you get.
