The Wedding Celebrant is hurriedly making votives.
The Ghost Marriages have begun.
Maidens cannot be joined while in the mortal world. Only Pillars can enter into Ghost Marriages.
Perhaps this Ghost Marriage is meant to console maidens alone in their caskets.
Since surviving that flood, I've thought I would live alone and that I would die alone.
Perhaps here on Mt. Hikami, that can be changed.

また一人、巫女が幽ノ宮に上っていった。
柩籠に入り、柱になるために。
夜泉が、ざわめいている。
大禍刻に、悲鳴のような山鳴りがして
木々が震える。
いよいよ大柱が潰えると、匡女様が
嘆いている。
すぐに次の大柱を決めることになった。
結女様も、契りの相手を決める絵馬を
作らねば、と慌しい。
幽婚の準備をはじめるようだ。
巫女は現世では契りを結ぶことはできない。
しかし、柱になり柩籠に入れば、
幽婚の契りを結べるという。
幽婚は、ひとりで柩籠に入る巫女への、
せめてもの慰めなのだろうか。
大水で生き残ってから、私はずっと一人で
生き一人で終わると思っていた。
でも、この日上山では違うのかもしれない。
