Boy Playing Tag 2 is one of the children playing tag in Fatal Frame II. He is the oldest and liveliest of the children.[1] He was playing with Girl Playing Tag and Boy Playing Tag 1 when the Repentance occurred. Unaware of their deaths, the children continued to play around the village. In the original FF2 and DCB, he can be found in the Kurosawa Family Altar Room during Chapter 5 and the Osaka House during Chapter 8.
In Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake, the children hide the Tsuchihara Family Crest in Minakami Alleyway, luring Mio into a game of hide-and-seek to obtain the crest. A new side story centred on the Children Playing Tag leads the player through various locations around the village where the children would play, including Kayano, Eikado Temple and Minakami Cemetery. Their notes describe the games they played, inspired by the village's religious beliefs and rituals. They were taught many of their games by a mysterious girl with a butterfly, who turns out to be Azami Kiryu's spirit.
