Koto Kurosawa is an original character created exclusively for Pachislot Zero. She appears in a bonus chapter of the story.

Koto is a novice reporter looking into rumours about Himuro Mansion. Having seen a ghost photograph apparently taken with the Camera Obscura, she wished to prove the existence of ghosts, although her editors were sceptical about the photo. During her investigation, Koto met Miku Hinasaki, who had recently lost her brother at Himuro Mansion. Miku was deeply traumatised by her experiences and would hardly speak, and Koto hoped that by uncovering the truth, she could help Miku to heal. With this in mind, she set off for Himuro Mansion to retrace Miku's steps.

During Pachislot Zero, the player can view cards with information about various characters and ghosts, written by Koto.

Premium End

The Premium End shows Koto standing in the Cherry Atrium, going over her notes as her investigation comes to an end. She has learned that although Miku eventually caught up with Mafuyu, she ultimately chose to let him go so he could remain with Kirie. As Koto reflects upon how Miku must be struggling with this choice, she hears a footstep behind her, and turns to see Miku standing there. As petals rain down from the blooming cherry tree, Miku finally smiles.

Misc. Info

  • Although it is currently not confirmed that Koto has any connection to either of the two Kurosawa families in the series, her character design has led fans to speculate that she might be related to Rei and Hisoka. All three characters have a beauty mark, and are associated with the colour blue. Koto also wears a hairpin topped with a decorative glass bead, similar to Hisoka's Charm.
