Kizuna Himuro is a ghost in Fatal Frame III. She was a former Rope Shrine Maiden who was sacrificed in the Strangling Ritual at Himuro Mansion. Like other Rope Shrine Maidens, Kizuna would have participated in the Demon Tag Ritual when she was around seven years old. As the last player to be caught, Kizuna became a shrine maiden and was placed into seclusion for ten years. Near the end of the confinement, she wrote in her single diary entry that she had severed all her attachments and accepted her fate as a sacrifice.
When Miku Hinasaki begins dreaming of the Manor of Sleep, Kizuna's spirit is drawn into Miku's nightmares, along with parts of Himuro Mansion, and becomes a vengeful spirit. It appears that her head and arms were torn from her body during the Strangling Ritual, and she bears these injuries in death.
