Kimono Room (FF3)
|
One of the rooms in the Manor of Sleep in Fatal Frame III.
Background Info

The Kimono Room was Kyouka Kuze's room before the Unleashing. It connects with the Barred Hallway, the Closet Hallway, the Hanging Prison and the rafters above the Bell Hallway and Round Window Foyer. The room contains an old koto, a dresser with a broken mirror, and several kimonos hanging on frames.
This was where Kyouka Kuze entertained the Outsiders who were brought to her to provide a female heir for the Kuze Shrine. As such, it was where she met Akito Kashiwagi and fell in love with him. When Akito disappeared, Kyouka fell into depression and spent most of her time in this room, playing the koto and arranging her hair for Akito in case he should return. Clumps of hair are stuck to the wall around the dresser.
After the Unleashing, the Kimono Room was sealed off with the rest of the Manor, and Kyouka was forced to leave. After her death, her spirit returned to continue her wait for Akito. She is there at many points in the game, crying or plucking at the koto. The Echo Stone Earring sidequest allows the player to open her dresser and find Kyouka's most treasured possessions.
