Wooden Figure Room
|
The Wooden Figure Room is a room found in older section of the Manor of Sleep, around before the Unleashing occurred. The room contains numerous human-shaped sacks that are hung from the ceiling. Also in this room, a giant Buddha statue, that is described as if it is holding reins, stands tall. On the floor below the Buddha statue and a nearby altar is a huge red and black bloodstain.[1] When Rei enters the room during Hour XIII, all the sacks suspended from the ceiling have fallen to the floor.
Ceremonial Function
When the Worshippers travelled to the Kuze Shrine during the winter months, they brought their loved ones' bodies with them. When they arrived, the dead bodies would be brought to this room. The body would be hung from the giant Buddha statues that looked like it was holding reins and the Engravers would then draw blood from them, to make the Ink of the Soul.[1][2]
Notable Events
- Blood was extracted from the dead by the Engravers, to be used for the tattoos of the Tattooed Priestess.
