Kukaiji Temple Kanji 久海寺（くかいじ） Game Fatal Frame III: The Tormented Located at Somewhere in Japan Function Shinto Temple Status Being rebuilt/Renovated

A ruined temple that was slowly being rebuilt in 1988. Mummies were found within the walls of the building, causing a lot of controversy and confusion. While the temple insisted that the mummies were of enshrined saints, others were not convinced. A newspaper article was written about the finding, which Miku Hinasaki showed to Rei Kurosawa.

• Buried Mummies were found within the walls of the Shadow Hallway in the temple during rebuilding.

• The real Kukaiji Temple is known for having valuable rare scrolls illustrating domesticated dogs being used to hunt in ancient Japan.
