The Chamber of Thorns is the final resting place for the Tattooed Priestesses, and where the Impalement Ritual takes place. The entire chamber is lined with the bodies of former Tattooed Priestesses who were successfully able to 'sleep'. This chamber is sometimes filled with miasma, so it requires the use of a Purifying Light to enter. It is here where Kaname found and awakened Reika before he was murdered in front of her eyes. This brought about the Unleashing: the doors of the Chamber opened, and the attempts of Yashuu Kuze and Nirei Moriya to close them again failed.

• Kei Amakura enters this area in hopes of stopping the curse, but is 'spirited away' by Reika.

Misc. Info

• In her daydream, Rei imagines herself being impaled here, by four Handmaidens who all look like Hisame Kuze; you can barely make out other hanging/impaled Tattooed Priestesses behind them.
• It is not possible to explore this area in the game; the playable characters only enter it during cutscenes.
• It is unknown if the bodies of the actual priestesses still remain in the Chamber of Thorns in the real Kuze Shrine or if the Chamber still exists ittself.
