Hiori Magabuchi is a ghost who appears in Fatal Frame V. She was a pilgrim who went to Mount Hikami to end her life. Dressed in her best kimono, she leaped from the top of a cliff in the Unfathomable Forest, while a Maiden of Black Water observed her final moments. Because she landed on her face when she fell, her ghost has a strange, disfigured look.
Tainted by black water, she now leads others into the mountain to die. One of those is Yukiho Tomine, who fled from Hiori's ghost, only to find herself at the edge of a cliff with Hiori pushing her forward.
