The Shadow-touched (yomibito) are a group of ghosts who appear in Fatal Frame V. They were charged with the duty of carrying the reliquaries to the place where they were to be sunk. This meant that the men were required to make contact with black water despite still being alive. They were no longer allowed to walk under the sun, and had to move around during the night or underground. The black water warped their appearance, making them monstrous-looking, and they would wear masks to conceal their faces. In death they still roam the mountain, carrying black boxes on their backs.
