Tomoki Harakawa is a ghost that appears in Fatal Frame V. He was the former owner of Ichiru Manor, the inn at Mikomori Hot Springs. In the landslide that engulfed the mountain, half of the inn was buried, and Tomoki's wife and daughter were both killed. Having lost everything, Tomoki decided to commit suicide. He set fire to what remained of the inn, made his way up to the roof where he could see the sunset, and was hesitating over whether or not to jump when a ghost tugged on his leg. As he fell, he crashed through a window and pierced his back with large pieces of glass.
Tomoki's father also lived on the mountain. He built the inn upon the structure of the abandoned maiden shrine, and when Keiji Watarai arrived with hopes of studying the mountain's history, the two became friends. They worked together to collect postmortem photographs from the area and assemble them into an album. After Keiji went missing, Tomoki's father helped in the search, but all he found was the photo album. Harakawa Sr. was ultimately spirited away as well. He left the book of post-mortem photographs to his son, and Tomoki rediscovered them shortly after the landslide that killed his family. Tomoki's notes about them put Ren Hojo on the trail of Keiji Watarai.
Voice Lens Quote
- "They've all been buried... all of them except me... My wife... my daughter... they've all become one with the dirt... Consumed by the mountain... like the sunset... They dissolved... they dissolved into the mountain..."
- ―Tomoki Harakawa src
