| Game | Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water | |
When she Glances Ose, Yuri sees a vision of her death. Supervised by the Wedding Celebrant and Funeral Celebrant, Ose entered her casket at the edge of the Shadowspring. Her box was closed, but elsewhere on the mountain, Kyozo Kururugi had begun his massacre of the shrine maidens. Their emotions and suffering flooded into Ose. In her distress, her thoughts turned to the man who had taken her photograph, but the memory of him only caused her more pain. The black water overflowed, inundating the whole of the mountain, and Ose sank deeper and deeper, all alone, reliving the deaths she had witnessed and longing for someone to take on her burden.
Yuri is reminded of the moments leading up to her suicide attempt, when she believed herself to be alone. The voice of Ose breaks into her memory, telling her: "You are not alone."
Returning to the present, Yuri finds herself standing at the edge of the cliff, with Ose floating before her. Ose says that although she wanted to live with Asou, Yuri is the one she wishes to die with, sharing the same pain with her and falling together.
Hisoka emerges from the forest behind in time to see Yuri step up to the edge of the cliff, though she is unable to see Ose. She calls out to Yuri, but Yuri asks her forgiveness, and steps over the edge into Ose's arms. While Hisoka grieves on the cliff-top, Ose embraces Yuri, and they sink ever deeper into the black water.
