The Cell was a room in Kurosawa House of Minakami Village. It was used to imprison Outsiders who came to the village and were to be made into Kusabi. It was also used as a repository for books about the village and its rituals. When it was not in use as a prison, Sae and Yae Kurosawa would use the cell as a secret place to talk,[1] and an extra ghost appearance is added in the final chapter of Deep Crimson Butterfly.
