The Sunken Fireplace Room was the main room of the Osaka House in Minakami Village from Fatal Frame II. It also appears in Mio Amakura and Kei Amakura's dreams of the Manor of Sleep in Fatal Frame III.

Fatal Frame II

The Sunken Fireplace Room connects to the Entrance, the Kimono Room, the Big Tatami Room and the second floor via a staircase. Mio and Mayu Amakura enter this room when they become trapped in the Lost Village, and Mayu has a disturbing vision. Miyako Sudo also visited this room during her search for her missing boyfriend, Masumi Makimura.
