Yuri wakes to find the shop full of mist. She makes her way up the mountain, Glancing many spirits on her way, and finally reaches the Shrine on the Water. Through the doors at the back of the inner sanctum, she reaches the Shadowspring, and confronts Ose Kurosawa. The final battle can result in two possible endings:
Meanwhile, Ren, following a hint from Rui who is talking in her sleep, returns home and finds the Bundle of White Hair, Shiragiku's token and the source of his recurring dream. Walking in Dr. Asou's footsteps, he travels to the House of Joining with the two tokens, to choose between Shiragiku and Ose. This can lead to four possible endings for Ren:
Miu dreams that her mother has left again. She follows her to the Twilit Peak, and finally catches up with her at the Lake of the Departed. She is able to express her feelings at last, and listen to what Miku has to say. As she accepts her solitude, they come to a place where spirits stand in the water under the eternal sunset. Miu begs Miku not to leave, and Miku promises she won't. This can lead to two possible endings for Miu:

- As Yuri and Ren are leaving the shop, voices can be heard speaking through the radio on the counter.
- During this chapter, most of the mountain is open for exploration, and it is possible to explore routes that were previously impassable, such as the section of the Womb Cavern that opens out into Hikami Tunnel.
Dr. Asou's Memories
As Ren makes his way to choose his bride, he can take photographs of scenes from the past, and learn about Dr. Asou's thoughts on the mountain. If the player continues to the summit from the Forbidden Valley instead of going directly to the House of Joining, several extra photos are available.
